Do you live in or around Cincinnati, Ohio? If so, you're in luck because Scott and the Queen City Voxers Group have organized a Vox user meetup!
WHERE: Ault Park Playground. 3600 Observatory Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45208. "We'll look for each other at the playground marked by the red X below. If it's raining, head for the shelter to the north of the [red] X."
To RSVP (which is not essential, but is appreciated), reply to Scott's announcement or send him a private message. All Voxers, as well as their friends and family, are welcome to attend.
If you do attend the meetup, have a great time and please take lots of pictures and send them to me so I can post them in Team Vox for everyone to see!
Thank you so much to Scott for organizing this meetup. Wish I could be there!
For one store in particular, why is that I only owe $13.76 and my minimum payment due is $14?
Don't choke on that $.24!
Better than that other large retail outlet that overcharged me $4 I guess.
What is the big news story in your area today and how does this news impact your life?
I actually reacted to this, but i doubt it will get posted on the local site:
Senator suggests lowering speed limit
http://www.wstm.com/news/news_story.aspx?id=155406
I beg to differ with that study, who funded the study? Every other week I travel about 200 miles in one weekend. I go various speeds on various roads and I haven't noticed a single ounce of validity of that statement. There's a TON on evidence, particularly in VA. that low speed limits bring in a TON of revenue in speeding tickets. Senators, you want to save gas? Fund research into synching up traffic lights, investing in better tech so people like me don't sit under a red light for 5 minutes while NO cross traffic takes advantage of a long green light. I stop about 4+ times traveling obscenely short distances in Syracuse and I bet you every ounce of gas wasted in America is due to inefficient traffic management!
Did you buy/download Coldplay's latest album? If so, what do you think?
Yes, I downloaded it. I like it quite a bit. It's different than their last cds but not as different as Portishead's last album was to the two prior to that, if you know what I mean.
What's your favorite magazine? Least favorite?
Don't act surprised, but I don't do magazines anymore. There's this thing, it's called the internet! It's a series of tubes... that're actually rolled up magazines... JK!
I read Tom's hardware, science and technology feeds, current news, entertainment from Google news.
How and when do you reward yourself?
Submitted by Rainbird.
Quite often and in a myriad of ways. I need to cut down on the "food" rewards though.
What do you find interesting or unique about your family history?
Well, I believe I come from a greater, fractured family. On more than one side. Like on my Mom's Mother's side, they came from the Ukraine/Austria and everyone may have come over or most... I'm not sure. On my father's father's side, the name is a pretty common French last name, I've formed a group with so many people thinking they were the only person with the last name -- except people in Canada, the UK, and France. I learned from one that a lot of use went which ever way the wind blew when there was an uprising in France... So, the idea of relatives I never met (and I've met some here and there) interests me.
What question do you hate being asked?
I don't mind any question, so long as it isn't asked out of malice and believe it or not, I'd encountered enough of that in life... Also, I really hate repeating myself. I hate it so much I think I need counseling, see I'm a loud person so it baffles me. Sometimes if I talk fast, I'd expect it, but I don't talk too fast normally... Of course it's all relative.
How long do you take in the shower?

As long as it takes, but not too long :)
