Who was the meanest teacher you had in school?
Mrs. West was my fourth grade teacher. In hindsight, I can see that she must have been a very unhappy person. Who knows what life had dished up for her .. all I know is that she seemed angry all the time and barked at students for any little infraction. We called her the Wicked Witch of the West behind her back.

How would you like to be remembered?

I would like them to say that I loved my family, that I was a faithful friend, that I stood fast against adversity and kept my faith until the end. I don't long for riches or fame. I'm not a notable person nor do I wish to be, but I do hope that the life I've lead will carry me into people's memories so that, in fact, as long as they exist, I'll never really be forgotten.
What are the goofy nicknames you have for your pet? Bonus points for sharing a picture of him/her.

Is it weird that I don't have a nickname (goofy or otherwise) for my cat? Her name's Sylvia. I don't have a current photo but I'll take one and post it at some point.
I do know a cat named Harley but I call him Hairball. If you saw him, you'd know why ..
What did you do for fun when you were a kid? How is it different from what you see kids doing now?
Submitted by jaklumen.
I played outside a LOT and used my imagination all the time. I was very active. During the summer, my sister and I came home for lunch and we had to be home before it got dark. We lived across the street from the community pool and spent every day of summer there. If it wasn't summer time, the rest of the world was our playground. These days, a lot of kids play console games or stay inside watching TV. Plus, there's a lot of (justifiable) fear that something bad could happen to kids these days so parents feel "safer" keeping their kids inside .. in front of the TV.

It didn't seem so at the time but it was when I was betrayed by the 2 people I trusted the most. Sometimes there really is a silver lining ..

Well, honestly, I guess it would be the Bible my dad gave me when I was six. After that, I'm not sure. I have a lot of books ..
How do you feel about Senator Hillary Clinton's claim that she is ahead of Obama in the national popular vote?
I am pretty apolitical but I have to admit, this whole in-fighting thing that the Dems have going on makes me chuckle.
Is there anything about the "corporate culture" at your place of employment you wish were different?
Engineers are expected to put in over 40 hours a week and you can't leave your work at work.
